12. my birthday wishlist

ITS MY BIRTHDAY THIS MONTH! ON THE 18TH SEPT!
asos sent me this email, reminding me, and made my a wish list for the cause.
red knitted dress, Asos -£65
skirt, Topshop -£40
blue bottom skirt, Asos -£55
grey top, Topshop -£14
poppy print dress, Topshop -£25
metallic Hunter's, Topshop/Hunter -£90
sorry for the complete rubbish putting together of this, but too be honest im not quite sure what programme i should be using... if you happen to know let me know!
the first thing i saw was the orange-red knitted dress, perfect for the weird summer-into-autumn weather, i love being chunky things too, so easy to put on and definitely a 10 in the comfort rating. also i'd love to wear this with tights as we enter the deep winter and have to wrap up warm. the green plaidish pelmet skirt, is really cute, and plaid is a must have this AW12, haven't quite decided how i'd wear it... probably a cute top and a leather jacket maybe, to give it an edge. the asos white and blue printed dress, is my my love life; it is so unique and could look great with some chunky heels, or some pretty flats, this is the one that sums up the quirkiness i try to capture in my style. this grey-khaki top, i think is a dark horse, the cut out shoulders i always think looks really pretty, and tucked into a statement skirt, or with jeans and a big handbag, plus £14 -you cannot go wrong really. the poppy floral dress, the ways you could wear this are endless! tights and a leather jacket, flats and a denim jacket, on its own in the summer, really need to get this asap! now, at heart i am a country girl and wellies are a must, i doubt i'll ever get these but i couldn't help putting them on, the pearly hunters  are gorgeous! can you imagine them on bonfire night? or in next years festivals? basically go with anything, and add class along with quirkiness at the same time.

definitely going to treat myself for the birthday! jessie x x x

11. the last of my summer in pictures

cannot believe my summer is over and as of tomorrow i will be sat in a classroom at sixth form, -not fun. how ever i have loved this summer, it has defintely been different, as i got my first job, and my exam results! i am very proud to tell you, i got, A*A*AAAABBBBC, i could not be anymore happy! the first picture you see is Sophie, my boyfriends Jordan's dog, she is the most stylish dog you will ever see... i'm talking Louis Vuitton collar! the black labrador you see is my baby, she's called Cleo and i treat her like a baby... still trying to find her a pram. the sunset is just proving how gorgeous my summer home is, sunset in Abersoch! the last photo is of my Jordan and his dad being complete boys...boys & their toys! it does make me laugh though.

wish me luck into my first week of doing something in 4 months, Jessie x x x

10. rimmel to the rescue

for my prom, me and my friends decided to go for the full works, fake tan, nails, eyelashes, make-over... you know it! however while all the luxurys were washed away after a week, the nails (gel sculptured) were still there. they lasted about 3 weeks, before i filed them down. the good things about them however is that they dont chip and your nails are contantly perfect. i also loved painting over the gel nails (like i have here), they got a really even finish and looked amazing long! when i gave into them, and filed them down, my nails underneath were in such bad condition, (when the manicurist was putting them on at the salon for some mad-annoying-savage reason she filed my actualy nail!) so i filed them relatively short so they wouldnt chip as they were really thin.

i found Rimmel's Nail Rescue for £4.59 from Superdrug. I wasn't sure if it would work as i know you can get these kind of rescues for at least a £10er! however it claimed that within 2 weeks my nails would be longer, stonger, harder, and more resilliant in 2 weeks, and that it reduces chipping and splitting.

so far so good... it went on really quickly and quite thin, and i am very happy to say, basically as soon as i put in on...it was DRY. a week in my nails were looking at lot more healthier and when firmly pressing my nail tips down, they were problably as hard as they were before i had the fake nails put on! 2 weeks later, they are definitely harder, and haven't chipped once, which is really unusual for my nails anyway! from now on i think the best thing would be to use this as base coat any time i paint my nails, hopefully as my weak ruined nails grow out my new nails in the next month or so, they will be as hard as nails ;)
