12. my birthday wishlist

ITS MY BIRTHDAY THIS MONTH! ON THE 18TH SEPT!
asos sent me this email, reminding me, and made my a wish list for the cause.
red knitted dress, Asos -£65
skirt, Topshop -£40
blue bottom skirt, Asos -£55
grey top, Topshop -£14
poppy print dress, Topshop -£25
metallic Hunter's, Topshop/Hunter -£90
sorry for the complete rubbish putting together of this, but too be honest im not quite sure what programme i should be using... if you happen to know let me know!
the first thing i saw was the orange-red knitted dress, perfect for the weird summer-into-autumn weather, i love being chunky things too, so easy to put on and definitely a 10 in the comfort rating. also i'd love to wear this with tights as we enter the deep winter and have to wrap up warm. the green plaidish pelmet skirt, is really cute, and plaid is a must have this AW12, haven't quite decided how i'd wear it... probably a cute top and a leather jacket maybe, to give it an edge. the asos white and blue printed dress, is my my love life; it is so unique and could look great with some chunky heels, or some pretty flats, this is the one that sums up the quirkiness i try to capture in my style. this grey-khaki top, i think is a dark horse, the cut out shoulders i always think looks really pretty, and tucked into a statement skirt, or with jeans and a big handbag, plus £14 -you cannot go wrong really. the poppy floral dress, the ways you could wear this are endless! tights and a leather jacket, flats and a denim jacket, on its own in the summer, really need to get this asap! now, at heart i am a country girl and wellies are a must, i doubt i'll ever get these but i couldn't help putting them on, the pearly hunters  are gorgeous! can you imagine them on bonfire night? or in next years festivals? basically go with anything, and add class along with quirkiness at the same time.

definitely going to treat myself for the birthday! jessie x x x

11. the last of my summer in pictures

cannot believe my summer is over and as of tomorrow i will be sat in a classroom at sixth form, -not fun. how ever i have loved this summer, it has defintely been different, as i got my first job, and my exam results! i am very proud to tell you, i got, A*A*AAAABBBBC, i could not be anymore happy! the first picture you see is Sophie, my boyfriends Jordan's dog, she is the most stylish dog you will ever see... i'm talking Louis Vuitton collar! the black labrador you see is my baby, she's called Cleo and i treat her like a baby... still trying to find her a pram. the sunset is just proving how gorgeous my summer home is, sunset in Abersoch! the last photo is of my Jordan and his dad being complete boys...boys & their toys! it does make me laugh though.

wish me luck into my first week of doing something in 4 months, Jessie x x x

10. rimmel to the rescue

for my prom, me and my friends decided to go for the full works, fake tan, nails, eyelashes, make-over... you know it! however while all the luxurys were washed away after a week, the nails (gel sculptured) were still there. they lasted about 3 weeks, before i filed them down. the good things about them however is that they dont chip and your nails are contantly perfect. i also loved painting over the gel nails (like i have here), they got a really even finish and looked amazing long! when i gave into them, and filed them down, my nails underneath were in such bad condition, (when the manicurist was putting them on at the salon for some mad-annoying-savage reason she filed my actualy nail!) so i filed them relatively short so they wouldnt chip as they were really thin.

i found Rimmel's Nail Rescue for £4.59 from Superdrug. I wasn't sure if it would work as i know you can get these kind of rescues for at least a £10er! however it claimed that within 2 weeks my nails would be longer, stonger, harder, and more resilliant in 2 weeks, and that it reduces chipping and splitting.

so far so good... it went on really quickly and quite thin, and i am very happy to say, basically as soon as i put in on...it was DRY. a week in my nails were looking at lot more healthier and when firmly pressing my nail tips down, they were problably as hard as they were before i had the fake nails put on! 2 weeks later, they are definitely harder, and haven't chipped once, which is really unusual for my nails anyway! from now on i think the best thing would be to use this as base coat any time i paint my nails, hopefully as my weak ruined nails grow out my new nails in the next month or so, they will be as hard as nails ;)

9. peachy glam glam

'beauty uk glam nails' in Peach Melba -No.48 from Superdrug. £1.99
Rimmel London 'I Love Lasting Finish' in Disco Ball -No.500 from any beauty care stores. £2.99

i found this really cute pastel peach colour in Superdrug whilst buying mainly everything in there, however was a little hesitant at how nice it would go on from the price tag, ironically though, i decided to try it because of its price tag! at first it was a little too see through for my liking, but once i'd put 3 coats on of it, it looked like any other high end nail varnish! it dried relatively fast, with a shiny-but-matt finish. the colour probably lasted about 6 days, which is how long all the other nail polishes i have ever got from Superdrug/Boots etc have lasted! after the 6 days, i was too in love with the colour to just take it all off, so i put Rimmel's Disco Ball over it! from the picture you can see there was good amount of glitter on each nail, and that was only 1 coat! i always find polish's with glitter in, stay on longer, and Rimmel's disco ball definitely did, and also rescued my favourite colour polish yet! the disco ball's colour, is surprisingly very versatile and would look fab over quite a rainbow of colour. i'd definitely recommend you buy yourself these colours, if not then a colour from these brands, don't be put off by the price tag, just put an extra coat on and you're ready to go!

p.s. -i didnt use a top coat, so i guessing using one of those would also lengthen the life of the polish also!

7. MAGALUF

i went on a girly holiday, with my friend Mollie this summer to Mallorca, we stayed in Palma Nova, and went to Magaluf every night! it was definitely an experience, i doubt i would go again, maybe go to Ibiza or Greece! but the sun was constant and every day so i can not complain!

i heart MAGALUF t-shirts
me and mollie had wanted MAGALUF t-shirts before we even got there, so we found a t-shirt shop where we chose the t-shirt and then they made it in to whatever we wanted, i chose to get mine fringed! we obviously wore them on way home! and while we were at the t-shirt shop, i came across this...
i thought it was hilarious so sent it to my boyfriend... he loves having a funny girlfriend.

this is in Palma Nova, on a chilled out night where we could not be arsed getting dressed up! lovey sky though!

i doubt you'll believe me when i say, that the beach photo above, is from McDonalds! Mallorca's McDonalds was the nicest one i've ever seen, on the beach with beach furniture to eat outside; but as you can see, still typical McDonalds food! (really craving McDonalds now.) the green juice in the jud, is called FAT FROGS! it's a bottle of Smirnoff Ice, Blue WKD & Orange Barcardi Breezer, and it is such a yummy refreshing drink! the next photo of me and mollie, is in this neon light bar, looking totally cartooned on the photo!

this ring i saw on the first night of the holiday in a jewellers just before the strip, and i went back too see it every night... im totally head over heels in love with it.
its really so delicate and pretty! and also, it is only £550, definitely need to take the boyfriend there...

the first picture is and apron i found! ah sometimes when i look out of the corner of my eye at this photo... i actually think its real aha!

me, full of cocktails with miss piggy!

on the way back from MAGALUF, in our pretty white tops and shorts.
POSIN' TILL CLOSIN'  @  MANO'S!

6. oufit

my first outift post, yaay! im sorry about the quality of the photos, my camera is no where too be seen , so i had to make do with the iPhone.
im not sure wether what im about to say is a good thing or a bad thing, but the dress, knitwear and socks are all topshop! the grey dress i love, as it is so summer, but can also be worn under things like i am here! the kakhi colour knitted jumper is so versalite, i love my chunky knits! and my pink frilly socks always help to give my converse a girly touch... i love this outfit because i can get my legs out without having to be super hot!

5. wakestock

i kicked off my summer by going to wakestock, a music & wakeboarding festival in Abersoch. my boyfriend is a wakeboarder so it was easy to negotiate going! plus he also got me and him rider tickets, which meant access all areas!  ill just give you a run down of events...

  • thursday -me and everyone we went with, made the mistake of staying behind out out holiday homes and letting my boyfriend and his friend take the 8MAN tent on their own... we got the tent up at i think around 11pm? me and jordan forgot to bring out sleeping stuff... so me, jordan, his friend dan, and my friend hattie, all shared a double airbed and 2 sleeping bags!
  • friday -woke up in the middle of a flooding field! (thankfully we were at the top... so all safe! we all decided to leg it to the car, it looked like we'd been dunked in the sea, then went to Station Cafe for an all day breakfast, yum! thankfully it cleared up by night time and was gloriously sunny! this was the night we tested out the fair! cannot describe how hilarious it was. calvin harris & rizzle kicks were really good.
  • saturday -had too many Jaeger bombs! got to the site pretty much out of it, which was good! only say DJ Fresh, got the mini bus back to mine that night, waking up not in a tent felt beyond amazing! jordan didn't go that night as he had food poisoning!
  • sunday -went round to burny's for drinks, then had such an amazing last night with everyone! we only wanted to see ed sheeran, chiddy bang & benjamin francis leftwich. benjamin, is my favourite singer of all time, so sunday was definitely the best night. we all got mini bus back to mine and and cooked a full english breakfast at 3 in the morning, perfect.

4. delicate pinks

so i went on a little errands around town, and over the week picked up these beauty's!...
                                                                    Urban Coast - £23
urban coast is a little show in Pwllheli in North Wales! really, it is the only shop with my kinda style in the town! i had a voucher from christmas (from my lovely boyfriend) and decided on treating myself to a nice piece of jewellery, that wouldnt turn my finger green like the silly high-street ones do. i really love this ring, as i know its hard to believe but the colour does go with a lot of things! and is also quite a statement piece, which i really need, as my outfits dont tent to be made of over the top statement items! their collection of jewellery is really speacial, and i know i will find myself going back their really soon! Urban Coast do have a website, however it does not do the shop justice at all, but if you want the address just let me know :-)

                                                                                Topshop -£3.50
baby pink frilly socks! i love these as they add a girly touch to most of my outfits, i primarily brought them to wear with my converse, which would make my old dirty pumps look that little bit more presentable. this was quite the impulse buy, but im so happy that my impulse picked these up! ill post a photo of me wearing them when i get the chance.
                                                                    Superdrug -£4.59
so for a couple of months now, my nails have been a middle-long length file perfectly, and polished all the time looking good! however my nails have starting chipping and splitting! so ive filed my nails right down, and started this nail rescue! you put 1 coat on, then the next day a 2nd coat, then on the 7th day remove it and do it again! so far my nails have looked healither and i hope they grow stronger... ill let you know how it goes!

Topshop -Nail Art Pen in Nightrider -£6.50, Nail Polish in Moonshine -£6.00
i have vowed to only use these when my nails are ready for it! the polish is a pinky metallic colour, it goes on really easily and drys so quick and smoothly  (okay...i painted 1 fingernail!) and then practised with my nail art pen like so...
i always test my nail colours on a piece of paper anyway, so i thought the same for the nail art pen! it was so E A S Y! it didnt come out too fast, too slow... it was just right, and thin enough to even do writing etc in the space the size of a nail! Topshop do this pen in different colours... i will definitely be collecting them! ill post a photo when i use it properly on my nails!

                                                                      River Island -£2.50
i spend all my spare time at the seaside so when i saw these mega cute shell earrings in river island, i had to have them, my change in my purse did not have a choice! the top earring is a (fake) pearl earring which i am thinking of putting in my piercing at the top of the lobe of my ear, which i think fits perfectly with the sea themed earrings! im not sure when im going to be able to wear them, but i will make sure its reallyreally soon.
